U.S. to Question IBM Employees in Argentine Probe: The Justice Department will question two International Business Machines Corp. employees this week on behalf of an Argentine judge who is investigating possible kickbacks in a $250-million contract between the Armonk, N.Y.-based computer company and a national bank. An assistant U.S. attorney will question Warren Surcouf Jr. and Kenneth Foley in the presence of a representative for federal Judge Adolfo Bagnasco of Argentina, the company said. Bagnasco has been investigating alleged kickbacks from an IBM subcontractor that received $37 million to provide a backup system for the one IBM was asked to install. He also is investigating whether IBM employees knew that the money was going to Argentine bank executives and government officials.
