Power Outage Affects Scores of Customers
An underground cable failed about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, knocking out power for 164 Southern California Edison customers in Ventura, a company spokeswoman said.
The power outage affected customers within an area bordered by Telegraph Road, Transport Street, Callens Road and Dunning Street.
Most of the power was restored by about 8:15 a.m., but at least 25 customers did not have power turned back on until about 2 p.m., said Edison spokeswoman Millie Paul.
Two customers, a Baptist church and the American Commercial Bank on South Mills Street, remained without power late Tuesday afternoon, Paul said.
