Times Mirror Completes Sale: Times Mirror Co., parent of The Times, said it completed its acquisition of Shepard’s, the nation’s premier legal citation service, from McGraw-Hill Cos. in exchange for Times Mirror Higher Education Group and additional undisclosed consideration. Los Angeles-based Times Mirror said it expects to report a small gain on the exchange net of special charges related to the transaction.
