Prodigy to Debut on Internet: The White Plains, N.Y., company will become the last of the major online providers to unveil an updated service. The new Prodigy will be published on the Internet, abandoning the company’s private computer networks and proprietary software for snazzier and cheaper Internet technology, including audio software from Progressive Networks. It will charge a flat fee of $19.95 for unlimited monthly use. Prodigy Inc. is the fourth-largest online service, behind No. 1 America Online Inc., CompuServe Corp. and Microsoft Corp.’s Microsoft Network.
