Delmar Arnold; Electronics Teacher

Delmar “Del” Arnold, a retired electronic engineer for the U. S. Marines, died Sunday at his Camarillo home following a lengthy illness. He was 81.
Arnold was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Humboldt, Iowa. He lived in Ventura County for 20 years.
For 30 years, he served in the Marines. He later taught electronics at UCLA. Arnold was a member of American Legion Post 741 in Camarillo and Post 256 in Garner, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella.
He is survived by daughter Bette Goll of Garner; a brother, Bill Arnold of Massachusetts; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at the American Legion Post in Camarillo.
