In the Victory League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 38, Acton Vasquez 0--Bryant Wolfsberger rushed for 152 yards in 14 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (3-3, 1-0).

Wolfsberger scored on runs of 24, 16 and 24 yards in each of the first three quarters. Andrew Jennings put Capistrano Valley Christian up 6-0 in the first quarter on a 44-yard run. Tim Baker scored on a four-yard run in the second and Dustin Smith added a one-yard run to close out the scoring.

In the Arrowhead League:

Anza Hamilton 20, Southern California Christian 0--Hamilton scored three touchdowns against the visitors in the second quarter on the way to the victory.

After Jessie Cable’s four-yard touchdown run for Hamilton (4-2, 1-0 in league), SCC (3-3, 0-1) gave up on the ball on ensuing kickoff with a fumble at its seven. Cable ran it in from two yards for a 13-0 lead.

On the Flames’ first play of their next possession, Hamilton recovered another fumble at the 20, and quarterback Johnny Slevcove ran it in from 18 yards with 12 seconds left in the half.

In a nonleague game:

L.A. Brentwood 29, St. Margaret’s 0--Rico Saken rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns for Brentwood. St. Margaret’s quarterback Jimmy Freeman completed 12 of 41 passes for 142 yards and was intercepted five times. St. Margaret’s falls to 2-4.

In an Academy League eight-man game:

Heritage Christian 50, Liberty Christian 0 (mercy rule)--Senior Jason Burns caught touchdown passes of 74 and 45 yards, ran 41 yards for a score and intercepted a pass to lead Heritage Christian in an Academy League game at Glover Stadium.

The Patriots (4-1, 1-1 in league) scored 30 points in the first quarter.

Burns had a game-high 58 yards in two carries.

Liberty Christian (3-3, 1-1) managed to gain 63 all-purpose yards and advanced as far as the Patriot three-yard line before losing a fumble on first and goal that was recovered by Heritage Christian’s Carl Lund.
