Pimco Advisors L.P.: The Newport Beach investment management company Pimco Advisors L.P. posted a 39% increase in net income for the third quarter on higher revenue.

The company reported net income of $23.7 million, or 32 cents per Class A limited partner and general partner units, up 39% from the $17.1 million, or 29 cents a unit, a year ago. Revenue increased 17% to $97.1 million from $83.2 million. For the first nine months, net income totaled $66.9 million, or 96 cents per unit, 51% higher than the $44.4 million, or 81 cents, posted a year ago. Revenue advanced 25% to $287.2 million from $229.8 million.
