CorVel Corp.: The Irvine provider of managed health care services said net income for the second fiscal quarter was a record $2.1 million, or 44 cents a share, an increase of 17% from the net income of $1.8 million, or 39 cents a share, for the like quarter of the prior year. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 10% to $29.7 million from $26.9 million. Net income for the first half was $4.1 million, or 87 cents a share, up 17% from the $3.5 million, or 76 cents a share, recorded a year ago. Revenue gained 11% to $59.6 million from $53.6 million.
