Advanced Logic Research Inc.: The Irvine designer and manufacturer of computer systems said net income for the year ended Sept. 30 more than doubled to $10.6 million, or 87 cents a share, from $4.9 million, or 41 cents a share, for fiscal 1995. Sales increased 13% to $217.9 million from $192.4 million. Net income for the fourth quarter totaled $4 million, or 32 cents a share, compared with net income of $2 million, or 17 cents a share, for the fourth quarter last year. Sales rose 4% to $55.4 million from $53.4 million. The company attributed the sales gains to a 28% growth rate in sales to U.S. customers. International sales declined 6%, Advanced Logic reported.
