Founder’s Day Events to Include Auction

A Trojan helmet used in the film classic “Ben Hur” and two collectible Shirley Temple dolls are among items to be offered to the highest bidder in the Seal Beach Historical Society’s silent auction, part of Founder’s Day festivities Sunday.

Bids for the items will be taken from 12:30 to 5 p.m. in the society’s booth on the city greenbelt. Bids will be accepted through Dec. 1.

Other Founder’s Day activities will be a parade beginning at 12:30 p.m., carnival rides, food booths, games and a concert in the park.

The parade will begin at Electric Avenue and 11th Street, loop around Electric and conclude in the same spot.
