“The Ingenious Machine of Nature: Four Centuries of Art and Anatomy,” opening Friday at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, uses 120 drawings, prints, illustrated books and sculptures to tell the story of scientific and artistic exploration of the human body.

Among the highlights are anatomical drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo. The museum is closed Monday and Tuesday; open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m the rest of the week. Museum admission is free, but the exhibit, which runs through Jan. 5, costs $2.35 for adults, $1.60 seniors, free to ages 18 and under. Information: (613) 990-1985.
