Murray Will Let Play Do the Talking

Forward Lamond Murray, fined and benched for one game last season after publicly criticizing Coach Bill Fitch, isn’t talking to reporters this season.
“I’m not talking this year,” Murray said. “I’m cool.”
Murray said he might talk if he has a good game.

Fitch said he will put center Stanley Roberts, Kevin Duckworth or Dwayne Schintzius on the injured list to reach the NBA roster limit of 12.
Roberts and Duckworth still aren’t in shape and Schintzius suffered an ankle injury during training camp.
However, a new NBA rule designed to keep teams from faking injuries to stash players, prohibits players on the injured list from practicing.
“They would qualify at the beginning of the season under any circumstances,” Fitch said. “Those three guys are the furthest away from being in game condition.”
The Clippers have 14 players on the roster, but guard Brent Barry, who has a sprained thumb, is expected to open the season on the injured list. He will be reexamined by team physician Tony Daly today.
