Trick-or-Treat Village Includes Magic Show

The city Recreation and Community Services Department will host a Halloween night of family fun featuring a trick-or-treat village and a magic show that will benefit youth programs in the city.

A performance by illusionist Kirin Stone, will include clouds of smoke, light and sound effects, dancing and an extensive bag of magic tricks.

The event will take place Thursday at San Fernando Middle School beginning at 6 p.m. Proceeds from ticket sales will fund scholarships that allow disadvantaged youths to participate in city recreational programs, such as art classes and sports and educational offerings, officials said.

In addition to the magic show, witches, mummies, princesses, and other costumed kids are invited to march in a parade through a specially constructed village outside San Fernando Middle School.

The village, which will include carnival games and cardboard houses where children will be given free treats, will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Stone will perform at 7 p.m.

San Fernando Middle School is located at 130 N. Brand Blvd. Tickets are $11.99 for adults and $7.99 for children.
