Keneley Not Giving Up

Senior defensive tackle Matt Keneley, told Tuesday that an underclassman teammate had been quoted Saturday as saying, “We should start playing for next season,” wasn’t happy to hear it.

“I’ve given four years to this program,” he said. “If I’d heard someone make a comment like that, I’d get pretty mad. I’m not proud to hear those kinds of comments. It’s divisive.

“I’m for winning. If the coaches feel playing some underclassmen will help us win this season, great. But not because it’s for next year’s team.”
