Ex-Premier Granted Indefinite Bail

A judge granted indefinite bail to former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao after he was formally charged with criminal conspiracy in a 1983 cheating case. Rao, the first former or serving prime minister to face criminal charges, pleaded not guilty to the cheating charge. He has also been charged in two other cases.
