The Florida Panthers notched their ninth victory Thursday night when they defeated the Washington Capitals, 4-2, at Miami, and they had their ninth different player score the game-winning goal.

The Panthers (9-1-4) got back on the winning track after their 12-game undefeated streak was ended in their previous game against Philadelphia.

Florida continued its balanced offensive attack as four different players scored.

“Everyone each night contributes and chips in,” said Tom Fitzgerald, who scored in the third period. “That’s why we’ve been successful. It’s when you start relying on one guy is when a team gets into trouble.”
