Times Staff and Wire Reports

Eastman Kodak Co. said it was suing two former employees, a research center supervisor and a developmental engineer, for allegedly stealing and selling “tens of millions” of dollars worth of its photography technology to competitors. The suit names Harold Worden, a former supervisor at Kodak Park, the firm’s main film manufacturing and research and development center, and Kurt Strobl, an engineer who left the company on Wednesday, Kodak spokesman James Blamphin said. Rochester, N.Y.-based Kodak believes the value of the information stolen and sold to potential competitors runs into the “tens of millions” of dollars, Blamphin said. Kodak’s stock fell 87.5 cents to $81 on NYSE.
