Talks With China

* What nonsense! Your editorial, “China Talks: the Right Choice” (Nov. 1), should say that the time is inevitably coming when the rush for global trade will force Western countries to suppress their citizens as does China.
As long as renminbi covert to yuan at a ratio fixed by the government, China holds all the aces and suppression of the people is guaranteed. No Western country has a two-tiered currency system, i.e., renminbi and yuan.
The Western tail cannot wag the China dog. As long as suppression is profitable, tyranny holds all the aces. The game is fixed before it starts.
