Furon Co.: The Laguna Niguel industrial components company posted third-quarter net income of $4.1 million, or 44 cents a share, 8% higher than the $3.8 million, or 42 cents a share, recorded a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Nov. 2 were up 13% to $96.2 million from $85.4 million. Nine-month profit was $12.5 million, or $1.37 a share, a gain of 26% from the $9.9 million, or $1.09 a share, for the first three quarters of the previous year. Sales rose 12% to $287.2 million from $256.2 million.
