Classic Chevy Club Gives La Palma Scout Post $2,000
LA PALMA —
The city’s Explorer Scout Post, which is supervised and sponsored by the Police Department, has received a $2,000 donation from representatives of the Orange County Classic Chevy Car Club.
Rick Polis and Mac McElmurry, who are city residents and members of the car club, presented the gift at a recent City Council meeting.
“We feel this is something to help the boys who, by joining the Explorers, are willing to stay out of trouble,” Polis said. “Our club wants to give a chance to these boys to get a leg up.”
