Ceballos Making Good Progress

Share

Cedric Ceballos, continuing his recovery from a partially torn tendon in his right knee, has started running and was shooting baskets Sunday night at the Forum before the Lakers played the Denver Nuggets.

“It’s nice to see him out there without crutches and such,” Coach Del Harris said.

Ceballos, who did not require surgery, remains on schedule for a return in late December or early January, following the original timetable of six to eight weeks when he suffered the injury Nov. 13 at San Antonio.

Eddie Jones, trying to set an NBA record by making at least two three-pointers in 23 consecutive regular-season games, missed all five tries against the Nuggets. He instead makes it a three-way tie with Mitch Richmond of Sacramento and Clifford Robinson of Portland in the books.
