New Supervisor Smith to Discuss O.C.’s Future

Supervisor-elect Charles V. Smith will discuss the future of county government at this week’s meeting of the Committees of Correspondence, a government watchdog group.
Smith, mayor of Westminster, was elected to the 1st District supervisorial seat in November, succeeding longtime Supervisor Roger R. Stanton. He is one of three new supervisors who will take office by January.
The Committees of Correspondence meets at 7 p.m. today Wednesday at Orange City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave. Information: (714) 633-6725.
