Snoop vs. Dre

Share

Dr. Dre’s “Dr. Dre Presents . . . The Aftermath,” a compilation of various artists that marks the rap producer’s first effort since leaving the wildly successful Death Row Records, makes the splashiest debut--but it lags far behind former disciple Snoop Doggy Dogg’s “Tha Doggfather” on both The Times’ Southern California chart and the national chart. Meanwhile, Whitney Houston’s “The Preacher’s Wife” soundtrack came in lower than expected, but sales could pick up after the movie opens Friday.
