EarthLink Network is expected to launch today a service to provide personalized information to customers. The Pasadena Internet access provider’s more than 100,000 users will be able to tailor their own “Start Page” to deliver up-to-the-minute news headlines, stock quotes, weather forecasts and other information for free each time they log on to the Net. Users can design their Start Page to follow 10 different stocks, and get news headlines on topics of their choice and weather forecasts of pre-selected cities. They can also include direct links to their e-mail and to Web search engines.
