From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A settlement was reached in a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a former female cadet against the Air Force Academy, attorneys for both sides said in federal court. Elizabeth Saum said she was physically injured and was the subject of a “simulated rape” during mandatory survival training at the academy in Colorado Springs. She took a medical leave in 1994 and never returned. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
