USC Defeats Utah, 81-59

Senior forward Tina Thompson scored 25 points and pulled down 17 rebounds to lead USC to an 81-59 rout of Utah on Saturday in the UC Irvine/Newport Marriott tournament at the Bren Center.
The Trojans (3-2) overcame a six-point deficit midway through the first half to lead, 35-27, at the break. Thompson had 16 points in the first half, when USC took control with a 25-11 run to end the half.
Kristin Clark added 19 points for the Trojans.
Julie Krommenhoek led Utah (5-2) with 18 points.
