Fullerton Gets Past Georgia State

Cal State Fullerton rallied for 55 points in the second half to beat Georgia State, 86-82, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Sunday at Fullerton.

Dee Braxton scored 29 points to lead Fullerton (5-1). She was 10 of 16 from the field and made nine of 11 free throws.

Fullerton made 17 of 20 free throws in the second half and 24 of 27 in the game. Justine McMahan, Kim Cram and Andrea Thieme each had 12 points for Fullerton. Cram also had 10 rebounds.

Georgia State is 2-2.

In another nonconference women’s game:

Long Beach State 58, Loyola Marymount 47--Adara Newidouski had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Toby Metoyer had 14 points and 13 rebounds for host Long Beach (2-5).
