Tom Berenger to Play Roosevelt in ‘Riders’

Tom Berenger will portray Theodore Roosevelt in “Rough Riders,” a four-hour TV movie for TNT about the future president’s charge up San Juan Hill during the Spanish American War.

The movie, to be shown on the cable network in 1997, also will star Gary Busey, Sam Elliott, Chris Noth, Illeana Douglas, Brian Keith and George Hamilton.
