Gang-Related Shooting Kills 2 in Highland Park
A 22-year-old man using a pay telephone in Highland Park was shot to death Saturday night, as was a merchant who was locking up a store that the victim fled toward to escape the gunfire, police said.
Jose Quesada was fatally shot about 9 p.m. Saturday when two gunmen walked up to him and began firing, Los Angeles police spokesman Eduardo Funes said.
They kept shooting as the wounded man tried to get to the store in the 5700 block of Aldama Street, where 42-year-old Raymond Argueta was locking up for the night.
