Share

Rocketdyne expects to pick up $35 million in business in the coming year as the result of its work on a new engine for the Air Force’s Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle project.

Rocketdyne has been working in partnership with McDonnell Douglas on this project, and McDonnell Douglas was one of the final two companies selected in the ongoing Air Force project.

Rocketdyne, based in Canoga Park, was purchased by Boeing Co. last month.

Boeing also announced plans this month to merge with McDonnell Douglas as part of the ongoing consolidation of the aerospace industry.
