Injury No Big Deal for Longhorns’ Neil
Dan Neil has a hamstring pull, which is a big deal in Texas.
Neil, a guard for the Longhorns, has started 48 consecutive games, a school record, and every game since his freshman season. And never fear, he will line up for the 49th time in a row, Wednesday night in the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., against Penn State.
“I missed a couple of practices to rest it, but I’ll play,” he said. “You don’t have to be a finely tuned athlete to play my position. If you can walk, you can play.”
