Keith A. Johnson recently was named the recipient of the 1996 Good Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America Orange County Council.

Johnson, of Rancho Santa Fe, was presented the honor at the council’s 16th annual Construction Industry Good Scout Award Luncheon at the Irvine Marriott.

Each year, the scouts’ Orange County council recognizes individuals in the home-building industry who demonstrate outstanding commitment to helping young scouts and their communities.

Johnson was recognized for his charitable contributions, including those to benefit Orange County scouts. Though he lives in San Diego County, he works for Fieldstone Communities Inc. in Newport Beach. He also is active in San Diego civic and charitable organizations.
