Comprehensive’s Loss

CORONA DEL MAR — Comprehensive Care Corp. reported that it lost $999,000, or 34 cents a share, for the second fiscal quarter ended Nov. 30. A year ago, the company posted a profit of $718,000, or 27 cents a share, which included a one-time gain of $1 million on the sale of one of the company’s hospital facilities. Revenue increased 28% to $9.7 million from $7.6 million.
For the first half, the provider of health-care management services recorded a net loss of $2.8 million, or 96 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $590,000, or 22 cents a share. Revenue was up 14% to $18.7 million from $16.4 million.
