Smartflex Systems Inc.: The Tustin electronics manufacturing services provider reported that net income last year rose 31%, to $7.2 million, or $1.12 a share, from $5.5 million, or $1.06 a share, for 1995. Revenue increased 17%, to $146.1 million from $125.3 million. Fourth-quarter net income was unchanged from the year-earlier period at $1.9 million, or 30 cents a share. Revenue declined 10%, to $36.2 million from $40 million. The company said revenue was affected by the lack of available components.
