Re “Court Broadens Liability for Job References,” Jan. 28: With this new decision by the California Supreme Court regarding job references, employers can legally destroy or damage people severely while giving very faint praise. For example, they can say, “Bob is intelligent but has a terrible personality disorder and cannot function well with people.” Who in the world would want to hire Bob?
