Munson Powers Trojans Past 49ers, 4-3

Eric Munson hit two home runs and had three runs batted in as USC defeated visiting Long Beach State, 4-3, Saturday. Seth Etherton pitched eight innings and gave up eight hits to record his second victory of the season.

Jack Krawczyk retired the 49ers (1-4) in order in the ninth for his second save.

Wes Rachels was three for three for USC (7-1).

Jaron Madison had two hits and two RBIs for Long Beach State.
