David Gibbs has been named director of strategic partnering at Pinkerton’s Inc.

Gibbs, 54, will help provide alternative designs and various consulting services for corporations that have security systems.

Previously, Gibbs was the founder and president of Gibbs & Associates, a Fremont, Calif., company that designed and managed security projects for industrial, health-care and government clients.

Pinkerton’s, based in Encino, is a security and investigations services concern with 220 offices in North America, Europe and Asia.

* Ted Gordon has been appointed regional manager at Condor D.C. Power Supplies in Oxnard. He will be responsible for the Western United States and Gulf Coast areas.

Gordon has more than 25 years experience in the power-supply and power-conversion industries. Before joining Condor, he was vice president of operations for J.L. Catcom.

* Stephen E. Pedersen of Ventura has been named managing architect for the schools division of Lauterbach & Associates Architects/Planners.

He will be responsible for overseeing all school-related projects the company has in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, including planning architectural projects and assisting school districts with state-funding applications.

Lauterbach & Associates has offices in Oxnard and Van Nuys.

* Kristin Bertell, former director of development for Greater Southeast Healthcare System in Washington, D.C., has been named director of development at Cal Lutheran University. School officials said Bertell has experience in fund-raising, grant writing and research.

She has a bachelor of arts degree in history from UCLA and a master of arts degree in communications management from USC.

* John P. Taylor has been named assistant vice president and commercial loan officer for Los Robles Bank. He has more than 15 years experience in commercial and real estate lending, mostly in Los Angeles County.

Taylor will be in the bank’s Westlake office at 101 N. Westlake Blvd.
