The FBI is looking for a serial bank robber who they believe struck again in Ventura on Monday morning.
Wearing a dark ski mask, surgical gloves and a black, green and cream plaid jacket, the man walked into the lobby of the American Commercial Savings at 300 S. Mills Road just before noon with a small automatic pistol, said Special Agent Gary Auer, who supervises the Ventura office of the FBI.
The man announced he was robbing the bank and demanded money from two tellers, Auer said.
He was last seen running across the Good Guys store parking lot next door, officials said. Witnesses saw him remove his mask as he was running and describe him as a clean-shaven white man in his mid-20s, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with brown hair and a thin build.
The man is believed to have robbed a California Federal Savings Bank in Camarillo on Jan. 29 and a Bank of America branch in Ventura on Dec. 4, Auer said. There have been six bank robberies in Ventura County this year.
