Jesse Jackson Arrested in Protest

The Rev. Jesse Jackson was arrested during a protest and prayer vigil outside a construction site in Chicago, police said. Jackson and others were at a garage being built at the Museum of Science and Industry to protest hiring and firing policies when he allegedly ran afoul of a police order. The civil rights leader, who twice sought the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to a police station.
