Fullerton 88, Riverside 81--Sterling Rachal scored 26 points, making 12 of 14 shots from the field, and grabbed 18 rebounds for host Fullerton (17-10, 10-1).

Orange Coast 68, Cypress 65--David Downs had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the visiting Pirates (12-14, 3-8). Willie Allen scored 20 points for Cypress (12-14, 4-7).

In women’s games:

Irvine Valley 76, Rancho Santiago 58--Heather Cunningham scored 13 of her team-high 17 points in the second half for visiting Irvine Valley (19-6, 6-1).

Irvine Valley led, 35-31, at the half and 44-37 with 15:41 left. The Lasers then went on a 20-4 run in which Cunningham had nine and Alison Carr had five of her 14.

Cunningham also had a team-high 11 rebounds and made nine of 14 free throws.

Orange Coast 61, Cypress 60--Becky Loshak made a layup at the buzzer to give Orange Coast (19-9, 5-4) the victory.

Dianne Pulido made two free throws to bring OCC within one, 60-59, then Cypress missed the front end of a one-and-one with 17 seconds left before Loshak’s game-winner.

In nonconference baseball:

Cypress 5, Fresno 4--Scott Daeley’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth scored Randy Case with the winning run for Cypress (9-2).
