PHOENIX —
An airline passenger tried to commit suicide on a Southwest Airlines flight Wednesday by slashing at his throat with a pocket knife in an on-board lavatory.
Airline officials said a flight attendant found the man and the pilot made an emergency landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport so the passenger could be taken to a hospital.
The flight, with 62 passengers on board, was on its way from Albuquerque to San Diego when the incident occurred.
