Robert A. Renshaw; Retired Postal Worker

Robert A. Renshaw of Ventura, a retired postal carrier, died Thursday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 75.

Renshaw was born June 10, 1921, in Yuma, Colo., to LeRoy and Golda Renshaw. He married Wilma Richards in 1943. A year later they moved to Ventura.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. For 28 years, Renshaw worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Ventura.

Family members say Renshaw enjoyed gardening--growing dahlias and chrysanthemums--and for nearly 50 years was a volunteer and participant in the Ventura County Fair Floriculture Department. After his retirement, he also spent time traveling.

Renshaw was a longtime member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Ventura, where he was a ruling elder, deacon and usher.

Renshaw is survived by his wife; son Richard of Ventura; daughter Dorothy Taylor of Pacific Beach; two grandchildren; four brothers, Maurice of Ojai, Dean of Ventura, Gerald of Atascadero, Russell of Hemet; and sister Margaret McKendrick of Seal Beach.

Viewing will be Sunday( from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura. Memorial services will be Monday at Community Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Edwin Crist officiating. Lunch will follow, and a graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home.

Jacqulyn J. Sapp; Retired Medical Records Clerk

Jacqulyn J. Sapp, 73, of Ventura, died Sunday in Ventura after a brief illness. A five-year county resident, Sapp had worked for 12 years as a medical records clerk at Glendora Hospital, retiring in 1975.

Her husband, Patrick, died Jan 25.

Sapp is survived by daughter Linda Wigton of Ventura; son Mike of Santa Maria; sister Betty Edwards of Glendale; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura, with the Rev. Jim Wells officiating.
