Judge Should Pay for Opinion Poll
Orange County Superior Court Judge Theodore E. Millard approved an opinion poll to be conducted at taxpayers’ expense to a determine if former Assistant County Treasurer Matthew Raabe can receive a fair trial (Jan. 30).
Apparently Millard is unable or unwilling to make decisions, a primary function of his office. I suggest he pay for the opinion poll himself rather than ask the taxpayers to compensate for his job deficiencies. Otherwise, he should be replaced by another individual qualified and willing to make the critical decisions required in a judicial post.
