Clinton Takes Time to Get Another Gift

With Washington in what he called a lather over questionable political contributions, President Clinton wasted no time Monday disclosing his latest gift--an $18 watch.

“I took it without blinking,” he said with a laugh.

Barry Munitz, chancellor of the California State University system, showed Clinton his watch before a presidential address on education. Clinton, 50, said he liked the watch because its large numbers were easy on his eyes. Munitz gave the watch to Clinton.
