Turtle Alert: Parents aren’t the only ones bracing for the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to network TV this fall. The Los Angeles-based American Tortoise Rescue worries that the show will spur demand for pet turtles. The group said that turtle sales soared a decade ago in response to an earlier show based on the Ninja Turtles but that many pets died of neglect.
