Thousands Greet King on Official Visit

Thousands of well-wishers greeted King Michael as he returned home to the first official welcome since the Communists banished him nearly 50 years ago. Michael, 75, was given a new passport at Bucharest’s airport under the name “Michael of Romania.” A week ago, the new government reinstated his citizenship, which had been stripped by the Communists.
