Adventist Health Adds 210-Bed Facility
The health-care network that operates the Simi Valley Hospital & Health Care Services has added another hospital, this time in Laguna Beach.
Officials of Adventist Health announced Friday they will affiliate with the 210-bed South Coast Medical Center. The affiliation is expected to take place June 30.
Many details of the relationship remain undecided, but Adventist officials said Friday the medical center’s management staff and 600 employees would be retained.
The affiliation will allow South Coast to purchase supplies in connection with Adventist Health and share information systems.
Roseville-based Adventist Health already operates 18 hospitals in four states and employs more than 13,000 people.
