More University Options for County

Share

* There can be no doubt that Ventura County will benefit greatly from the addition of a campus of the California State University system. There can be no doubt that converting Camarillo State Hospital into that campus is the ideal location for that campus. There should be no doubt that there is a need for variety in educational opportunities.

It should be pointed out that Cal Lutheran University has been serving Ventura County for over 30 years and has been a tremendous resource to the citizens of this county. St. Thomas Aquinas has brought national attention to the county as well. Their contributions always get overlooked.

Ventura County’s citizens now have another exciting choice to consider in the University of Phoenix, the nation’s second-largest fully accredited university. The University of Phoenix offers bachelor of science degrees in business administration, business management and business information systems, and masters degrees in business administration and organizational management. The programs are designed for working professionals (minimum age 23), and it is possible to go from 60 units to a bachelor’s degree in under two years going one night per week.
