Spotlight: Intuit Finds Bug in Its Tax Software

Share

Intuit Inc. has notified all customers who electronically filed their tax returns using its MacInTax program that they may have filed an incomplete return because of a software glitch. The problem affected only those customers who filed returns before March 1 and who failed to save their work immediately before filing--about 100 people, the company said. The software maker pledged to pay any IRS penalties arising from the bug. Intuit said so far only about 10 people have complained.
