Marijuana Study

Michael Dare’s letter (Feb. 28) brands the funding of studies on the medicinal uses of marijuana a waste of money since it would prove benefits that users and past users already know exist.

True as that may be, a study might result in the government saving a few bucks. With a study in hand to dispel the current controversy, zealots on both sides of the medicinal pot issue would possibly find other issues more deserving of their time and financial resources.
